Kevin Gates Holds Food Drive Ahead Of Thanksgiving For The I'm Him Tour

In support of his second studio album I’m Him, Louisiana rapper Kevin Gates brought the same-titled tour to the Novo in Los Angeles.

And in Thanksgiving spirit and in collaboration with nonprofits like Second Harvest Food Bank, the Kevin & Dreka Gates Foundation also held a food drive to give back to those in need for the holiday.

Gates, who might be most known for hits like “2 Phones” and “Really Really,” was spitting gems all night.

In between songs, Gates would spit a little knowledge to the crowd, with each comment relating to the next song.

With Gates himself being in and out of jail throughout his lifetime, the Baton Rouge artist reminded people that there’s always room to succeed no matter where you are in life and no matter what critics might say.
