21 Savage and J. Cole Narrate Reality in ‘”a lot” Visual

It’s only right that the powerful opener off 21 Savage’s I Am > I Was album receive an even more dynamic visual. Today both 21 Savage and J. Cole dropped the music video for their collaboration, “a lot.”

The Aisultan Seitovl-directed visual highlights the ups and downs of the black experience. The video explores poverty, trauma, abuse, racism, and death. Centered around the symbolism of the search for “one meal,” the video dives deep in the weight of the institutional forces that harbor our realities.
