Scorpion: album five, look alive

It’s been over two years since Drake released his album Views, his fourth studio album. While yes, it’s his last album, the Toronto native has not been quiet when it comes to the release of music.

More Life, the playlist that Drake stated was not an album, received heavy criticism. The album received a general consensus of not being top-notch quality. I mean, the man did say it was just a playlist and not an official studio album.

Since then, 2017, Drake’s 2018 run has been an impressive run—one filled with purpose—representing for those in struggle, women who work hard and may be getting over a significant other, and then there’s the song that captures Drake’s overall mood for arguably the past 3-4 years.

We reach his album Scorpion, right after being defeated by Pusha T in their beef. This is the first time we’ve seen a defeated Drake and we now have a new body of work. Michael Jackson, Static Major, Ty Dolla $ign and JAY Z are featured. Let’s be honest, the internet holds Drake at mercy, but everyone is tuning in to hear what the boy-turned-man has to say.

The two-disk album is two sides, two stories—A side, B side.
