It’s been quite a journey for SZA and her fans. The TDE singer has patiently waited for the label to release her debut album, and has openly vented her frustration with the pushback, claiming that she was quitting the music industry in 2017. Despite the claim, she has stated that she’s committed to finishing and releasing the project, titled A, this year.

While her fans continue to hold out, those at her live shows have gotten a taste of what to expect. Thanks to one of those in attendance, we have a clip of a collaboration between Travis Scott and SZA, which they performed this week at NeueHouse in New York City.

In addition to this unknown track, she also performed a new cut titled “Drew Barrymore“, inspired by the actress it’s named for.

With so much anticipation surrounding her album and controversy surrounding her talk of quitting, it’s little tidbits like this that add fuel to the fire and give hope to those who have been on this journey with her. Being that it’s been nearly three years since her last release, people are hungry for her beautiful voice. Hopefully we’ll be able to get our hands on something more concrete very soon!
