Recap, Photos and Interview by Dami Adeyemi (@Dami.jpg)

Man what a weekend this was. In case you haven’t kept up with my social media, I recently got the chance to attend my first festival a few days ago. Miguel, myself, and a couple of friends hopped in the carand took a 2 hour drive down to Long Island, NY to attend the Billboard Hot 100 Festival in Jones Beach.

Upon arriving, I was welcomed to thousands of people ranging in age from 5 years old all the way to 60+. This was  definitely a new world to me due to the fact that I’ve never really seen this wide of an age disparity between patrons. However, this concert was diverse, so it only made sense that the audience was equally as diverse in age.

The concert line up was great. Billboard hosted a variety of artists ranging across multiple genres ranging from EDM to Hip-Hop all weekend long. Being able to see artists from Cheat Codes to Lil Xan within minutes of each other made for one of the most diverse concert settings I’ve ever attended. On top of the diverse artist line up, the atmosphere also hosted an assortment of amenities to keep patrons entertained during their downtime, including the Nissan Experience, VIP Drink Lounge, and activities hosted by radio stations such as Hot 97 and Power 105.1.

The Festival overall was an amazing experience. From a press perspective, the event staff was extremely reasonable and easy to deal with, which made for great content! Take some time to scroll through some of the photos below.
