Now, we’re in 2018 and LaCue’s staying power is one to champion. It’s not easy to remain in this industry and push forwards, and Lacue moves with purpose. This project isn’t happening from force. It’s due to life occurrences, bonding, and inspiration.

Sylvan LaCue’s 2018 has been one to remember. The cause for remembrance started on his birthday, Jan. 12, the day he released his project Apologies in Advance. A carefully created body of work, Sylvan was able to connect to an audience using vulnerability, integrity, and overall great judgment by God-given talents. He self-produced the project, respectively.

So where does his creative ventures lead him to next? Sylvan heads back home, after the untimely death of his Grandmother, Ruth Williams. He spent months with friends and family and found new motives in his hometown: Miramar, Hallandale, Pembroke Pines, Fort Lauderdale, North Miami.

Sylvan’s new mixtape will be presented visually.

I brought my business partner Jonathan Benavente out to South Florida & basically took him around to everywhere I grew up. Miramar, Hallandale, Pembroke Pines, Fort Lauderdale, North Miami. I wanted to show a glimpse of the personal places in South Florida that meant the most to me. It’s like the kick off to the whole entire Florida Man visual experience.

In the music video, Sylvan rocks a André Dawson Florida Marlins jersey. His Grandmother was from Dawson, Georgia and the body of work is in her honor. Also,  “Andre Dawson wanted to finish his professional baseball career in Florida with the Marlins.”

10 tracks, hosted by DJ Luna and DJ Bre, Florida Man will be enjoyed visually on July 13.

Formerly known as QuESt, Sylvan LaCue has been in this game for a decade now. Much has changed in the landscape of music since 2008. 808s & Heartbreak was 2008. Tha Carter III was 2008. Now, we’re in 2018 and LaCue’s staying power is one to champion. It’s not easy to remain in this industry and push forwards, and Lacue moves with purpose. This project isn’t happening from force. It’s due to life occurrences, bonding, and inspiration.

Between my grandmother passing, & recent events that have happened here in South Florida, I feel more that ever, that its time for my city to come together & heal. And I hope this can continue to add / push that agenda.
