The next best thing out of PG County, Maryland is a young starter with the demeanor of a seasoned vet in the rap game. YBN Cordae formally introduced his-self to the world last week after dropping a revamped version of Eminem’s “My Name Is.”
This newcomer bodied the track as his early warning to the game that he’s nothing to play with. With this song alone, Cordae has made it clear that he’s trying to form his own lane in the game. His rhyme scheme throughout the song is pretty impressive plus the fact that he’s showing he can go bar for bar.
Cordae’s flow alone is proof that these young dudes coming up still have what it takes to keep Hip-Hop alive. His name is already being brought up with J.Cole, but truthfully it’s too early to compare him to anyone. I myself am eager to hear what else he has coming out soon. Beware now because when this guy blows up he’s going to be a problem.
