Marvel just released the new trailer (above) for the upcoming film on their first mainstream black superhero, Black Panther. Music from the trailer features Vince Staples’ track “BagBak” off of his Big Fish Theory album that recently dropped in June, complementing the aggression and intensity of the film’s storyline and epic action scenes.

The director and leading roles of the film are all black, and are played by some of the biggest names in the game right now. Chadwick Boseman from films Get On Up and 42, played the leading role as T’Challa and the Black Panther. Michael B. Jordan from films Fruitvale Station and Creed played nemesis and supervillian Erik Killmonger. Sterling K. Brown from hit series “This Is Us” and “The People v. OJ Simpson” played N’ Jobu, a character from T’Challa’s past.

The film picks up after Black Panther’s appearance and events that occurred in Captain America: Civil War. T’Challa then returns home as the King of Wakanda to protect his throne and to prevent a world war.

Watch the trailer above and be sure to catch the film in theaters February 16, 2018.
