Cardi B moves her way up the charts as of Oct. 7

Cardi B officially has the no. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 charts as of Oct. 7. “Bodak Yellow” dethrones Taylor Swift’sLook What You Made Me Do” single and moved from the top spot to the no. 3 spot. Post Malone recently put out a new single featuring 21 Savage, “Rock Star,” which debuts on the chart at no. 2.

“Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” is Cardi B’s highest charting single and makes her the first female rapper since Lauryn Hill in 1998 (while being the lead and no other credited artists). Many will argue about Kodak’s inspiration for the track and the cadence that is used overall, but Kodak has expressed well wishes for Cardi and has gone to remix the track.
