CNN's Van Jones inks deal with Roc Nation for activismWell, this is surprise, but then again, Roc Nation is always gamed for the challenge of bringing everybody from different backgrounds on board. Yale-educated and CNN host Van Jones has signed to Jay Z’s Roc Nation for activism.

It was announced on Thursday (May 4) that the host of CNN’s The Messy Truth will be working with Roc Nation on his newest ventures and latest endeavors. Jone’s focus has been to help those in need, especially young people who come from challenged backgrounds. He wants them to thrive in many aspects, including: tech and media.

“Van’s immense capacity for empathy builds bridges,” Jay Z said in a statement.

Jones received criticism for a speech he delivered on Feb. 28. He praised Pres. Trump for saluting the widow of a Navy SEAL. “[Trump] became President of The United States in that moment, Jones said”

For a guy who’s been ridiculed and praised, the overall feeling of this activist continues to fluctuate, but overall, the verdict stands clear for more praise than negative outlook.
