It’s crazy to think that Lil Wayne gave us “Pussy, Money, Weed” ten years ago, back in 2007. That time frame of him releasing The Drought Is Over series and the fourth installment basically becoming the developmental aspects of Tha Carter III. There was no doubt about it, at the time, Lil Wayne was the best rapper alive.

“Oh yes I love her like Egyptian, want a description? Her body sickenin,’ I can be her prescription, I can be her physician. Sexual healing, I can be her religion, and now she’s kneeling, praying to the ceiling. I bless her, as if she sneezed, but be the weather. I dress her, I am her sleeves, I am her feathers.”

There was something about “Pussy, Money, Weed” that I enjoyed. Now older and a decade later, I appreciate the lyrics more and the overall flow of the song. With a large catalog of songs released in that year alone (2007), it’s easy to see how Wayne didn’t select certain songs for his mastered body of work, Tha Carter 3.
