Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” has been doing its large amount of damage on the Billboard Hot 100 charts for 11 weeks straight now. Despite Ed holding on tight to that no.1 position, Kendrick Lamar creeps in at second. This is huge for Kendrick, in more than one way.

“HUMBLE.” is K. Dot’s first top 10 as the leading artist and it’s also highest debuted single on the charts in over seven years. Some amazing achievements under Kendrick’s belt, as he’s unbuckled that same belt to humble us all. This is Kendrick’s fourth top 10, but first time as the leading artist. In 2015, he reached no. 1 status with Taylor Swift, for their “Bad Blood” record.

“HUMBLE.” by numbers: No. 1 on Streaming Songs (49.8 million)

Audio subscription services-based On-Demand Streaming Songs chart: (33.2 million)

Digital Song Sales (111,000 million)

This Friday (Apr. 14), we will have in our possessions a new Kendrick Lamar album. Section.80, good kid, m.A.A.d city, To Pimp A Butterfly and now his new album which still goes without a title.
