In “Shot Down,” the Texas native takes us through a love story. He’s shot down—with a woman who takes him places he’s never been and has him doing things he had never thought about doing. This is space is refreshing, yet dangerous. She’s changed him and he notices this within his relationships with others. Poems have been written to her and their lives have been structured in the form of a haiku.
