Nor Cal Duo Tommy Paris & Foe 5 Deliver an Underground Anthem in “Boys Who”

Salinas, California is a transient town located just outside the Bay Area in Nor Cal. Boasting a population of less than 200K, the city is best known for it’s agriculture industry as well as being the setting in a few notable John Steinbeck — who is a native — novels. Another notable local is Jodi Arias, best known for killing her boyfriend in a jealous rage after he left her for another woman. I say this to let you know the city breeds killers and rapper-producer duo Tommy Paris & Foe 5 carry on the tradition with their banging new track, “Boys Who“.

Produced by Foe 5 who utilizes chilling synths and heavy bass, Tommy then slaps his stamp on the knocking beat with clever bars like, “I feel like Mac Dre, my niggas got Mack 10s, free that boy Max B/ All of my niggas coppin’ gold chains boy that’s a chain reaction.” with an off beat cadence that oddly fits track perfectly. Though Tommy Paris serves as the narrator, the journey hardly stops with his words. The last minute and a half of the track is a wavy montage of creative sounds that even Travi$ Scott would blush at.
