Bigger than predicted. J Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only will likely cap off the week higher than initially expected. Hit Daily Double predicted the album would do around 400-500k in the opening week, but it’s looking to be higher sell than predicted.
If Billboard’s prediction of 550k range is correct, 360-380k of the sales would come from traditional sales. Once again, Cole would land another number one album on the charts. There’s a different formula behind his latest two releases.
Out of the ten tracks spotted on this release, there’s no sure-cut tracks that aim towards radio play. Minus “Deja Vu” (due to the sample) and “Neighbors” for its catchy hook, the album is directed towards getting a specific message across. It’s Cole’s fourth album in the number one spot. It’s almost effortless.
